Nicole and Rich had a beautiful wedding on January 3rd. It was nice that we had already taken some great shots of the two of them together a few weeks ago, so they only had to endure the cold for a short time. Nicole seriously looked like a Princess. When we were in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, a little girl even said to her mom, “She’s a Princess,” while she looked up at Nicole with awe.
You can totally feel the love that Rich and Nicole have for one another — the laughter, the tender glances, the kindness in how they treat each other. I am so happy for these two and wish them the best in this next phase of their lives!

Allie and Randal had a beautiful wedding on December 28th. Allie has impeccable taste. She wore a beautiful cream colored, vintage gown with her hair done in a ’20s style. It looked stunning. We took a few pictures at the Timpanogos Temple before heading up to the McCune Mansion in Salt Lake City. This was my first time shooting at the McCune, and it was incredible. There were so many amazing places to photograph the bride and groom! (Even the bathroom was a great place for a photo op) Everyone danced the night away and had a grand time.

I am so excited to share Ashley and Chase’s wedding pictures!
They were married on Saturday December 15th…a very cold day…but beautiful, nonetheless. I can’t believe that Ashley lasted as long as she did outside, especially because her toes were exposed and she already has a tendency to get cold easily (she did have awesome mustard colored leggings on, which looked fabulous). She stuck it out incredibly well and we got some amazing shots.
At their dinner at Log Haven, they gathered with close friends and family under a large white tent that had lights shining through — it was spectacular! I especially love the photographs of the two of them dancing and interacting together.
I have to give a big shout out and thanks to my friend Angela, who came to assist me and shoot candids. I seriously could not have done it without her — she carried some of my equipment, helped me set things up at the reception, and was always one step ahead of the game. Thank you so much, Angela!
Angela took this photo and I love how she used Ashley’s bouquet to add a new element. It’s awesome to see the different perspectives we each got.

Last night, I learned how hard-core Nicole really is! We took Nicole and Rich’s bridals & groomals up in Peoa, UT. Every time I have driven up in that area, I have always thought how awesome it would be do to a photo shoot by the old red barn…and I finally got my chance!
Even though the temperatures were below 20 degrees, these guys didn’t complain at all. By the end, they couldn’t move their mouths, their whole bodies were stiff, and their fingers felt like they could fall off. I am so glad we went up there, despite the freezing weather because these turned out amazing. Which ones are your favorites?

Saturday was a beautiful, snowy, crisp December day — perfect for Nicole and Rich’s engagement session. I was really excited about this shoot because Nicole and Rich had already taken their announcement picture with a friend who is striving to become a photographer, which meant we could just have fun!
We decided to go downtown and explore new places that I’d never photographed. It’s amazing how many places there are within a short walking distance. These two are such a blast to be with. They have amazing chemistry together and they both have fun, easy-going personalities. I am excited for their bridal session this week and their wedding on January 3rd.
P.S. Don’t you just love that 3 we found in honor of their special day?
