Lyndsi and Mike – Gardner Hall

Lyndsi and Mike had their reception at Gardner Hall at the University of Utah. It was my first time shooting an event there and I enjoyed the beautiful architecture and exquisite details of the building. Their colors were red & black, so the tables were adorned black table cloths and red ribbon with gorgeous center pieces of red roses. Everything was tasteful and elegant. It was a wonderful evening!

Lyndsi and Mike – Formals

I have always loved photographing Lyndsi and Mike because they have such a fun and sexy dynamic together. You can feel the love and passion in their relationship. I could have spent all day shooting them except that Lyndsi was turning into an ice cube. Good thing the Joseph Smith Memorial Building has some great places for photos inside where we could all warm up.

And a big thanks to Tara of Winsor Photography for 2nd shooting with me and assisting me!

Lyndsi and Mike – Temple Candids

Lyndsi and Mike were married on January 2, 2010. I’m excited to finally feature them on my blog because they are such a fun, beautiful couple!

Luckily, we had some blue sky to help warm everyone up. Lyndsi and Mike were surrounded by an amazing group of family & friends at the Salt Lake LDS Temple. And, despite the fact that everyone froze in the shade, there was nothing but smiles, hugs, and love.

Missy and Andy: the Details

One of my favorite things about weddings is the details, for they are what make each wedding unique. Missy and Andy had soup from Jason’s Deli, amazing bread, cute boxes tied with red bows as a gift to guests, and a chocolate fountain. Any wedding with a chocolate fountain is already ranked higher than one without ;)

Missy and Andy: the Reception

Missy and Andy had more people come to their reception than I have seen in a LONG time, maybe the most I have EVER seen. It just goes to show that these two are one in a million and loved by all who know them. Lots of hugging, smiling, high fives, dancing, and fun was had by all. They even had a cake for the groom: a car (and if I knew anything about cars, I’d remember what kind of car it was…but I don’t). It was a spectacular evening.

Missy and Andy: Dinner & Primping

Missy and Andy had an amazing dinner for their friends and family. While everyone warmed up with soup and breads, everyone introduced themselves and told stories about the bride & groom. It always makes me feel like I’ve been friends with them for years after I hear about them and how great they are. I can tell Missy and Andy are perfect for each other!

After dinner, Missy was primped and pampered in the bathroom to get ready for the reception. At one point, I believe there were six hands arranging her hair! It was worth it. She was stunning!

Missy and Andy: the Temple

Brace yourselves for a big, awesome post from Missy and Andy’s November wedding (I know, I know, I’ve been SUPER behind on my blog…) Hopefully the wait has been worth it.

Missy and Andy were married on a freezing day in November, but at least the sun was shining! Surrounded by their family and friends, you couldn’t ask for a better day. The light is always amazing this time of year – its warm, low in the sky, and flattering. Despite being cold and hungry, Missy and Andy were hard core and we were able to capture some great moments.

Candice and Jake: the Details

Candice and Jake chose green, brown, and cream for their wedding colors. I love how everything tied together. From the simple flowers at each table, to the green and brown name cards for dinner, to the green beads accenting the decorations: simple, elegant, and perfect.

Candice and Jake: the Reception

Candice and Jake had a small dinner and reception for their close family and friends at the Point. Candice and Jake took the time to go around to each table and to visit with each guest. There was also a fantastic program complete with a beautiful song that brought tears to the bride’s eyes, a slideshow, and words by the parents. It was the perfect end to the perfect day.
