Black Cherry. That’s the color of my brand new car. Doesn’t that sound delicious?
This last week, I had MAJOR car troubles. After taking it to the shop, the repairman called to tell me how bad it was. To fix my car, it would cost me more than it was even worth. For a few days, I didn’t know what to do. Was it the time for me to get a new car or suck it up and pay oodles of money for a piece of junk?
On Saturday, my dad went with me to go car shopping. We went to LHM Toyota. I didn’t want a Toyota, but I agreed to go there first. After test driving 5 models of cars, I was in love with the very first car I drove — the Scion TC. It’s a sporty, racey, beautiful car that feels amazing to drive. Today, I went on a drive up Emigration Canyon and down Parleys. It was a perfect way to spend my Sunday evening. Here are some pics I took.

I finally got my camera back from the shop last week! With an opportunity to play with my nephews and to see if my camera really was fixed, we went to the park. I have good news to share: it is completely fixed! No more bugs! Yay!
Here are some of the pics at the park. As you can see, James was in somewhat of a mellow mood that day. He was especially stiff going down the slide by himself. Poor guy! I think he had more fun when I took him down the slide on my lap. Will is a maniac at the playground. He runs up the slides, goes down with wreckless abandon, climbs up anything he can hold onto, and tries to swing as high as possible.
Now, I want to thank you all again for checking out my blog during these last few ‘slow’ months when I was without my camera. I promise I will update more regularly, and it won’t always be pictures of my nephews

Today I have been clearing off my hard drive, trying to organize and assess all the random things on my computer. I ran into these pictures that I took this last October on a Sunday drive with my dad. For most of these shots, I was hanging out the window as he was driving on the dirt road. It was quite the experience!
That day was incredible. The leaves were at their peak, shimmering gold and swaying in the breeze: a striking sight next to the rich blue sky. Even though these pictures are a few months old, I thought I’d share them with you to help us all remember how awesome the seasons are, and how beautiful Utah is!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted! Thanks to everyone for all your patience. The reason is that my camera has been in the shop getting fixed. And, sadly enough, I had to ship it back again yesterday because it is still not fixed. Luckily, I was able to have it for the weekend and for my nephew’s birthday on Tuesday!
I just love this boy to death! He is simply adorable and can melt anybody’s heart. He’s really in to using the telephone and even says, ‘i’ (he can’t say a lot of words yet, but he’s really good at vowel sounds). And, every time I start taking his picture, he gets super excited, crawls towards me at super speeds, giggling and laughing to look at the back of my camera. At his birthday party, his parents gave him a cupcake, and he had so much fun making a mess. Good thing I captured it all!
Anyways, as you can tell, I had a hard time choosing only a few favorites. I hope you like these as much as I do

Today I had the opportunity to photograph Nathan Evershed of Evershed Law Office.
He focuses primarily on estate planning, administration, and Medicaid planning, which includes wills and trusts. To kick off his new office, located in Bountiful, Nathan is offering a Free Trust Seminar on January 18th and 20th. Call 800-231-0280 or visit his website at www.evershedlaw.com. Nathan is a very sharp, intelligent, outstanding attorney that I trust and would recommend to anyone.

With sun shining and blue sky, we couldn’t complain about the icy wind. (Ruth and Aaron were also thinking of beautiful beaches and a hot sun warming them up because they leave for a cruise tomorrow. I am so jealous!)
It was a perfect day for Aaron and Ruth. And they are absolutely perfect for each other. The outdoors, rock climbing, country dancing, and their laid back personalities make it a match made in heaven. I am so happy for them and wish them all the best in their new adventure together.
Here is a SLIDESHOW of my favorite images of the day. If you’d like to see more, CLICK HERE to register online and you will be notified when the images are available to see.

Today, the Three Winks Studio website is finally launched! I started designing it in June and found DJ in September to help with the programming. He has done an amazing job and I am so grateful for all his hard work he has put into this for me.
I hope you love it as much as I do

…the other side of the camera, that is. It is so hard to act natural when someone is taking your picture, especially when you already have camera-phobia (only when I’m not in control of the camera). My friend Natalie Simpson, who is an awesome photographer, took my picture today so that I could have an photo of myself for my website (which will be Officially Launched by the end of this week). I am so grateful that she took the time to help me out, especially because she has two little boys that take up a lot of her time. Thanks Natalie! Which one of these pics do YOU think should be on my site?
