Meet Julie.
Julie is not your run-of-the-mill woman. She is not only beautiful (I mean, check out her gorgeous complexion and silky hair!) but she is smart and constantly learning. She is inspired by good books and loves to be athletic. Running, tennis, biking, yoga. You name it. She probably does it. Plus she loves cooking and traveling.
Seriously, Julie is amazing and I loved getting to know her a little bit.
Julie claims she doesn’t photograph well, so let her know how gorgeous she looks!

I know you have all been waiting with anticipation for these. I hope they will not disappoint
I had a blast shooting Elaine last month. She has gorgeous, super long hair like Rapunzel and a killer fashion sense. We almost need to do another session to get in more of her awesome dresses and shoes.
Since we were shooting indoors with studio lights, the setups took longer than I anticipated so there are basically only 2 backgrounds
So much for variety…but I do have to thank my friend Chris for letting me shoot at his warehouse. Thanks Chris!

These images are WAY PAST DUE.
Colleen was my last photo shoot of 2009. December 31, 2009 to be exact.
It had snowed the night before and I frantically asked anyone out in twitterville if they wanted to model for me. Colleen agreed and put up with a freezing wind and lying in the cold snow. She was amazing and was totally open my craziness. I love Colleen’s porcelain skin and brilliant eyes against the blue sky that peeked in through the clouds.
What a fun day. Thanks Colleen!

It’s not every day I get to photograph a family with 2 dogs. And let me just say, these dogs act just like toddlers: hilarious, entertaining, and challenging, but I enjoyed every second.
The reason why we took their family pictures is because Sabot was leaving the family to become the Utah Police Department’s newest Bomb K9. Sabot is full of energy, doesn’t like to stay in one place, and can entertain himself for hours trying to capture his shadow.
Chloe is your typical little mutt who thinks she’s a lot bigger than her actual size. She loves to play around with Sabot but also has some spunk of her own. She’s quite the jumper!

One of my New Years Resolutions is to do one photo shoot a month that is for me – something I organize, a time to be creative, an opportunity to have fun without the stresses of pleasing a client.
This month, I was lucky enough to photograph the gorgeous Elaine. I only shot her this morning, but I am so stoked about these images, I decided to post one for fun. More to come soon….

Last week I had the sweet opportunity to shoot headshots for the hilarious, amusing X96 DJs. You can imagine that a bunch of DJs who spend their time entertaining people with their wit and clever banter would rather stay behind the scenes rather than be in the spotlight… But, despite their desire to not be in front of the camera, I think we were able to capture some greats shots showing off their uniqueness.
GINA
I started off with Gina who, despite the fact that she didn’t want to have her picture taken, has amazing eyes and a gorgeous smile. I even got her to loosen up a bit and show her true colors.

BILL
Bill has striking blue eyes. I loved how he appears to be a gruff man, but upon second glance, you notice when he smiles, his dimples pop out and his eyes brighten up. I love all the textures in his 4th picture.

KERRY
Prepared with a variety of shirts (including his Geek Squad tee), Kerry surprised me with not only being easy to photograph, but proposed a compelling argument about each decade over the last 60 years and how they were awesome. Well, every decade except the 90s…

TODD NUKE ‘EM
Todd also stunned me by his variety in apparel and props. I was definitely able to see many sides to his fun personality. I especially love the ones with his train

BRETT
With an endearing personality and phenomenal eyebrows, how could you not like Brett? He seriously could win a ‘puppy dog eyes’ contest any day.

RICHIE T
You’d think Richie was just a fun, clean cut guy. Wait until he surprises you by pulling out half of his teeth. You’ll be rolling on the floor.

MARCI
Turns out I’ve been listening to Marci since her days on Star 102.7. She has a charming, saucy personality with killer eyes and gorgeous long, brown hair. Easy to talk with, easy to photograph.

COREY O’BRIEN
Corey’s intense blue eyes compliment his funky personality. He came in and began strutting the ‘tough’ look. Come to find that he is quite hilarious and if you catch him at the right moment, you’ll see his true smile.

Meet Lucienne. She is 6 weeks old.
What a precious little bundle of joy. Lulu loves being held, has bright inquisitive eyes, and is eager to learn & move.
Darling.

You know how a little breeze can make your pictures more interesting? Well, we had more than just a little wind on the day we photographed this bunch. The sad thing is, we thought a storm was coming in the morning so we tried juggling when we started the session a few times only to have picked the coldest, windiest part of the day. Sigh….I guess you can’t count on weather forecasts, as awesome as our technology is these days. I definitely was impressed with how tough these 4 were despite the winter weather.
Regardless of the freezing wind, I had a wonderful time getting to know the Dessert family. We spent our time out at Day Break, mostly by the lake (or lack of lake in these winter months). I loved the scenery. It was my first time shooting out there and we were able to find lots of great backdrops for their family. I loved having them interact together to see how each of their relationships is special on-on-one as well as all together. Thanks guys!

This is the third year in a row I’ve photographed the Simpsons (check out 2007 & 2008 pictures to see how much the boys have grown!) I seriously look forward to their family pictures every fall. Natalie is always up for awesome locations which fit perfectly with their style. Plus, each year the boys get a little better at cooperating
I have to thank Natalie for honoring me with the privilege of photographing her family. Natalie is an excellent photographer so it means a lot that she would trust me and keep coming back! Thanks, Nat!
