A few weeks ago, I had the awesome opportunity to photograph a Golf Tournament Fundraiser for Rocky Mountain Care. It was a perfect June morning at the Bountiful Ridge Golf Course. Blue skies, warm temps, slight breeze: the epitome of early summer
This was my first time shooting golf and it was challenging but a lot of fun. I enjoyed seeing all the golfers’ personalities and their different levels. All of them are quite amazing in my eyes (I went to a driving range once 10 years ago and could barely even hit the ball). Plus, it was such an awesome event to be part of! Be warned, there are quite a few pics here, but I want to share the ambiance of the day

I was really excited to photograph Guinn’s high school graduation party. Besides the fact that her mom always throws incredible parties, this particular group of kids is quite exceptional. They are classy, fun, intelligent, tight-knit, and there is no doubt they will all do amazing things in the years to come.
Congratulations on your graduation!

A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Guinn’s graduation party. This is one of many amazing events hosted by Kaye that I have been able to photograph. As usual, it was a big success. The flowers, the food, the juice bar, the special sugar cookies, plus the amazing summer weather made it a perfect evening. Here are some of my favorite detail shots. Be sure to check out the candid shots on my next post!

I have been SO excited to share these pictures from a Human Chess Party I shot a couple weeks ago.
My friend Calvin built a giant chess/checkerboard in his front yard with cement blocks. He collected various hats, goggles, and costumes in black & white. Then, he invited over his friends & their kids for an awesome evening of human chess.
Everyone got to play a few different ‘pieces’, which made it fun because they could switch from bunny ears, to angel halo, to bug ears, to a cowboy hat (aka knight, pawn, bishop, rook, queen etc). I had such a blast watching them play!
I couldn’t narrow down the pictures so there are a lot
P.S. Calvin’s house is so cool! He has a dyslexic clock, lots of artwork (a lot of which he painted himself), and just plain cool architecture.
Enjoy!

Alright folks. I have shot THREE awesome events in the past week & a half but I am venturing out of town this weekend, so the full posts will have to wait.
In the meantime….enjoy 2 images each, selected from Mesia & Brett’s wedding at Sunset Crest Manor, the Human Chess Game (I know you’re curious, but you’ll have to wait to hear about it next week), and Suzanne & Seth’s engagement session shot at Lagoon!
Enjoy!
And stay tuned

I had the pleasure & opportunity to photograph an event last week where Florence Jacobsen was granted the Junius Wells Award. There were quite a few big names that attended including President Thomas S. Monson, Elder Boyd K. Packer, Elder M. Russell Ballard, Chieko Okazaki, and Ruth Todd.
Florence has had an extraordinary life and I’m going to say this right here & now: I want to be like her. She stayed true to what she believed in, she devoted her life to serving others, she is full of love & charity to all, and she looks incredible. I doubt you would be able to guess her age because she looks fantastic! Some of the things she accomplished for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that she helped save & restore the Lion House and worked on the interiors of the Manti Temple. She is a doer and put all her heart into everything. Plus, Florence is extremely humble & grateful.
Florence greeted everyone with a hug, smile, and held their hand as she spoke to them. Although she was the one being honored, she made everyone know that they meant something to her. What a truly incredible woman and what a wonderful opportunity for me to photograph her big night

This summer was my 10 year high school reunion. Does that date me too much? We had two activities: a day activity at the park for those with kids and an evening event at the Salt Lake Hardware Building. Despite my initial worries about the whole ordeal, it was actually quite an enjoyable day. Reconnecting with old friends, seeing who changed and who didn’t, and even making new friends. It was comforting to spend time with those who shared in at least a few years (if not more) of my life.
