Liz and Wade came to Utah for their engagement session last week from Southern California. Freezing temps, a snowstorm in the forecast, and an icy breeze didn’t scare these two away, though. They were so much fun to photograph! They definitely are the kind of people who will always make lemonade out of their lemons. I loved how they tried new things and acted so natural in front of the camera. I can’t wait for their February wedding!

Lyndsi and Mike have smokin’ chemistry. I loved photographing them! Besides the fact that they are fun to hang out with, they are awesome in front of the camera. I hardly had to give any instructions to make this good lookin’ couple look natural. Plus, it was a bonus because they let me try out lots of new locations. As a photographer, I’m always trying to find new places to shoot at to keep things fresh and new. Thanks Lyndsi and Mike. I can’t wait for your January wedding!

Missy and Andy are getting married at the end of November! Right from the beginning of our session, they were laughing, teasing, and having fun together — it was easy for them to forget I was even there
They were willing to try out lots of locations (many of them were places I’d never shot at before) and they had great ideas, too. Missy and Andy are both designers, so they have amazing taste and style. Thanks for an awesome morning session!

Candice and Jake were brave enough to do their engagement session on a Saturday morning (we started at 7:30am!). The light was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the couple was…well, see for yourself!
They were stylin’, fun, and super easy to photograph. We hit up some classic spots in downtown Salt Lake City. Some of the locations you may recognize…others you may not…we did go to 2 new places that I’d never shot at before. I love the thrill, excitement, and creativity that comes when I shoot in new environments.
Thanks you two! Can’t wait for your wedding on 11-11

Brooke and Lex are two cool cats. I just love it when I can talk, laugh, and have fun while I take pictures of amazing, beautiful people
We were able to go to tons of awesome locations, which is always fantastic. I especially love the yellow wall and the ones taken at the Capitol. Lex requested to go up to the Capitol because that is where he proposed to Brooke. It’s a place where they have walked the grounds many a time, enjoyed countless sunsets, and marveled at its grandeur. While at the Capitol (this was the end of our session) Lex said “I like Brooke and chocolate pudding.” He then admitted he had no idea where the chocolate pudding thing came from, but he does love Brooke.
Congratulations you guys. Can’t wait for your wedding in September!

I had such a fun time shooting Annie and Joe’s engagement pictures. We found some beautiful architecture in downtown Salt Lake and then we barely made it out to the lake in time to be eaten alive by mosquitoes. Or, what I mean to say is, we barely made it to the lake in time before the sun set :-p
These two were up for anything! I loved the light coming through the window at our first location. The warm light from the window also cast little rainbows on their faces, which added a fun element to the images. Besides being watched by a couple policemen, being told not to walk on the grass, sinking into wet sand at the Great Salt Lake, and getting bitten by bugs, it was an uneventful, perfect evening. It was also awesome because Ashley came to assist me (which came in handy out at the lake). Thanks for being in charge of my off-camera flash, Ash!
I can’t wait for Annie and Joe’s bridal session coming up next month and for their wedding in August!

I loved hanging out with Libby and Joe last week at their Engagement Session. These two have such great senses of humor! They spent 3/4 of the time teasing and laughing with each other and the other 1/4 of the time they were just enjoying each others’ company. Joe loves to kiss Libby and Libby loves to let him do it.
I have to thank them for being so patient as it took me longer than usual to get these up on the blog. I hope they’ll forgive me since I put up a few more than usual….you’ll forgive me? Thanks guys!

I shot Libby and Joe’s engagement session a few days ago and I haven’t had time to edit them all for a proper blog post. So….I have this one awesome shot to hold you all over.
P.S. I’m driving to LA tomorrow and I’ll be there for 3 weeks. If anyone is looking ahead for a Spring photo session in Utah, I will be back the last weekend of March (and possibly into the first week of April) and also near the end of April. Don’t let this whole 2-city thing scare you
I’m very flexible in my scheduling and as long as I can get 2-3 shoots in a weekend, I’ll come up. Be looking at your calendars so that I can fit you in

Amanda and Jason went up to Park City during the Sundance Film Festival last year for their third date.
We thought it was a fitting place for their engagement session. It was only 20 degrees outside when we began the shoot. Poor Amanda was freezing, but man did she look gorgeous and stylish! I love her polka dot skirt and red heels. Luckily the sun was out, so it made it a little more bearable (at least I thought it did).
Congratulations on your engagement!

I had a blast with Lacey and Jared this last Saturday. I mean, how could I not? These two are so much fun, they’ve got great style, and they’re gorgeous. What more could I want?
Lacey definitely falls into the category of my ‘tough winter brides’. It was 45 degrees, slightly breezy, and she was sporting her sexy, sleeveless red dress without any complaints. And, if I do say so myself, it was totally worth it. She and Jared looked amazing in both of their ensembles. Very classy and very fashionable. I can’t wait for their wedding that’s coming up on December 22nd!
