Here are Zula and George. These two lovely people were so much fun to photograph! Not a dull moment, that’s for sure. George has a way of making Zula laugh, and he’d already be laughing, then we’d all be laughing. They were so natural and fun.
Plus, Zula is just gorgeous. She is from Mongolia! I am in love with her features and can’t over how beautiful she is. George, you are one lucky man. I can’t wait to photograph your January wedding!

A couple weeks ago, while I was in New York, I had the pleasure of photographing Mariah and Ryan.
Can you say AMAZING chemistry?
We started at the Grand Central Station, swarming with people coming & going, and captured this lovely couple in the midst of the hustle & bustle. It actually was hard to get shots of them looking sharp and not blurry. With my exposure slower than one second long, they had to hold still…let’s just say they preferred dancing & moving around to acting like statues. But, despite that fact, we got some amazing shots of them.
I loved how Mariah and Ryan were up for anything, letting Tara and I wander the streets of New York with them, stopping where inspiration struck us, and looking fabulous in every location.
I admit, I love the shots with all the cabs: such an iconic look :)
We even spent a little time in Times Square before the sun went down. Everywhere we went, we were surrounded by hundreds of people, but that didn’t stop this couple from ignoring the world and focusing on their love for one another. What a fun afternoon!

I was excited to photograph Erin and Tyler on my recent trip back East. Erin was referred by her roommate, but the crazy thing is, I lived in LA when Erin did! We had briefly met a couple times and only after ‘meeting’ her again in person in DC did I realize I already knew her. Small world, eh?
Back to the good story.
Erin and Tyler both kept asking me ‘What should I do in the pictures?’ ‘What do I need to know?’ Question after question. I kept reassuring them that it was no big deal, that I would tell them where to stand and what to do, but that I mostly just wanted them to have fun & be themselves.
As you can see, these two were phenomenal! I love how they interact with each other.
Lots of real laughs.
Lots of smiles.
Lots of tender moments.
I couldn’t be happier with this session….I have oh so many favorites…and had a very difficult time narrowing them down….I could have kept shooting them all night….except the neighborhood locals thought we were crazy….and then it got too dark so I had to stop taking pictures….sigh…
I hope you all enjoy. Let me know what you think!
P.S. Aren’t Erin’s shoes to DIE FOR? I absolutely love them :)

Boy have I been excited to share these pictures with you!
I took Suzanne and Seth’s engagement pictures a couple of weeks ago at Lagoon.
Now, you have to know that I am a fan of amusement parks. A BIG fan. So much so that I have gone to Lagoon the past 3 years on my birthday. Every time I am there, I imagine all the amazing pictures I could take with all the fun backgrounds. It’s chock full of great places!
Anyways, back to the main point of my post… I was stoked when Suzanne suggested doing her engagement session there. We were able to go on a Tuesday when the park was closed, so we had full access to everywhere. Except for the rain, it was a perfect day.
We started out in Pioneer Village with this sweet 1930s hot rod. Suzanne has a picture of her grandparents in front of an old car so it was fun taking part in creating another family heirloom. We then worked our way throughout the park. We shot for almost 3 hours and if it hadn’t been for the rain, I’m sure I would have kept shooting for even longer. I loved spending time with these two. They were both comfortable and natural in front of the camera, plus Seth has a way of making Suzanne laugh. They are so stinkin’ cute together and I am even more excited for their wedding coming up in July. I know there are a lot of pictures for you to look through, but I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed taking them :)

Liz and Wade came to Utah for their engagement session last week from Southern California. Freezing temps, a snowstorm in the forecast, and an icy breeze didn’t scare these two away, though. They were so much fun to photograph! They definitely are the kind of people who will always make lemonade out of their lemons. I loved how they tried new things and acted so natural in front of the camera. I can’t wait for their February wedding!

Lyndsi and Mike have smokin’ chemistry. I loved photographing them! Besides the fact that they are fun to hang out with, they are awesome in front of the camera. I hardly had to give any instructions to make this good lookin’ couple look natural. Plus, it was a bonus because they let me try out lots of new locations. As a photographer, I’m always trying to find new places to shoot at to keep things fresh and new. Thanks Lyndsi and Mike. I can’t wait for your January wedding!

Missy and Andy are getting married at the end of November! Right from the beginning of our session, they were laughing, teasing, and having fun together — it was easy for them to forget I was even there ;) They were willing to try out lots of locations (many of them were places I’d never shot at before) and they had great ideas, too. Missy and Andy are both designers, so they have amazing taste and style. Thanks for an awesome morning session!

I had such a fun time shooting Annie and Joe’s engagement pictures. We found some beautiful architecture in downtown Salt Lake and then we barely made it out to the lake in time to be eaten alive by mosquitoes. Or, what I mean to say is, we barely made it to the lake in time before the sun set :-p
These two were up for anything! I loved the light coming through the window at our first location. The warm light from the window also cast little rainbows on their faces, which added a fun element to the images. Besides being watched by a couple policemen, being told not to walk on the grass, sinking into wet sand at the Great Salt Lake, and getting bitten by bugs, it was an uneventful, perfect evening. It was also awesome because Ashley came to assist me (which came in handy out at the lake). Thanks for being in charge of my off-camera flash, Ash!
I can’t wait for Annie and Joe’s bridal session coming up next month and for their wedding in August!

Boy was I excited when Alicia asked me to be her wedding photographer! You see, I did her sister Breanne’s wedding a year and a half ago & I took their family pictures a while back so you can see that I just LOVE this family!
I was glad that we were able to schedule a time to do Alicia and Danny’s engagements when I came up to Salt Lake last week. It turned out to be a crazy week, but I enjoyed every second of hanging out with these two. They have such great chemistry & love to laugh. We found lots of amazing locations by just walking around Salt Lake. Be sure to check back for Alicia’s bridals at the end of the month and their wedding pics in June.

I loved hanging out with Libby and Joe last week at their Engagement Session. These two have such great senses of humor! They spent 3/4 of the time teasing and laughing with each other and the other 1/4 of the time they were just enjoying each others’ company. Joe loves to kiss Libby and Libby loves to let him do it.
I have to thank them for being so patient as it took me longer than usual to get these up on the blog. I hope they’ll forgive me since I put up a few more than usual….you’ll forgive me? Thanks guys!
