This is Breanne and Riley‘s baby Porter, only 10 days old. He was born 5 weeks early so he is still super tiny. Porter love keeping his hands up by his face and still spends most of his days sleeping. Ah…newborns are so adorable!

This is Porter’s friend Arabelle (I think that’s her name) who came over to visit while I was photographing him. Isn’t she a doll?

Baby Moses

I had the joy and pleasure of photographing little baby Moses this last weekend. He is almost 3 weeks old!

Moses is already a mover & shaker — he’ll be crawling before his parents know it! He made the most adorable expressions and I even caught a couple smiles :)

But the most important thing I witnessed is that Moses is LOVED and ADORED by his parents. He is definitely their pride & joy.

Lucienne

Meet Lucienne. She is 6 weeks old.

What a precious little bundle of joy. Lulu loves being held, has bright inquisitive eyes, and is eager to learn & move.

Darling.

Adria Grace: 3 weeks

This little bundle of joy has the most adorable head of dark hair. She gets that from her mommy. On the other hand, she resembles her daddy quite a bit. You may recognize Kristen and Lane from their engagement & wedding pics I did a couple years ago.

Although Adria wanted to stay nestled on her mommy’s chest, we were able to catch of few of her fun expressions and movements — she loves to wiggle & squirm :) By the end, Adria was tuckered out and fell asleep in her mommy’s arms.

Precious.

Baby Zane: 16 days old

The ironic thing about Zane is that his middle name is Charles, which would mean he is the third baby with the name Charles that I have photographed in a row! How funny is that?

Anyways, this little man is full of fantastic facial expressions: great yawns, pensive eyes, angry cries, darling dimples. He had them all. But I loved every minute. I even got one of his older brother who was jumping off the walls (I guess he needed a little attention).

Anyways, I’m so grateful that I was able to photograph Zane while he was still ‘fresh’ and tiny.

Sneak Peek: Stephanie and Baby Zane

I actually took this photo of Stephanie this morning. I was so excited about them, I had to post one of them for all of you :)

And, isn’t Zane a cutie? I love capturing baby yawns! Stay tuned for their full posts coming by the end of the week….

Charles Elliott: 23 days old

This little bundle of joy is the newest addition to Sammy & Harry’s family. Charlie is tiny & adorable. He was a wonderful subject to photograph and didn’t fuss at all. Have I mentioned that he has a cute baby bum? (Well, all baby bum’s are cute, for that matter). Congratulations on your beautiful baby!

Baby Charles: 4 days old

Charles Odin Green

My sister and her husband decided to name my new nephew after both my grandpas. Charles (for the grandpa whose birthday he was born on) Odin (for my dad’s dad). Will and James still want to call him Odin, but I think it’s fitting to call him Charles. Too bad my sister doesn’t like the nickname Charlie or Chaz, but wants to call him Char. I like Char but think it’s harder to get used to saying…it doesn’t roll off the tongue the same ;)

Anyways, taking photos of Char was a breeze. He is such a quiet, mellow little guy. He put up with me moving him around and keepin’ his bare skin exposed to the air, which was probably chilly for him. I love this little guy and wish I had hours and hours to hold him (well, that is before I leave for LA again next week). Hope you enjoy the pics!

Checking Vitals…

The nurses immediately took the new babe, weighed him, measured him, listened to his heartbeat, and cleaned him up. It’s amazing to watch them each work so fast and hard to ensure the baby is healthy.

gender: male
weight: 7 lbs 7 oz.
height: 21 inches
official time: 2:19pm (on 2/19/09)

Delivery…

The nurses came and prepped the area so that when the doctor came in, everything would be ready to go. The baby was eager to come — Sandy only had to push 4 times (I think). It was incredible as the doctor delivered the brand new baby. Tiny screams were heard almost immediately as he breathed his first breaths of air. I could feel tears brimming in my eyes, but I made myself pull it together so that I could keep capturing the beautiful moments.

Have you ever watched the birth of a baby?

This is daddy cutting the umbilical cord, btw.
