About the Photographer

My first time shooting with a ‘real’ camera was my senior year in high school on a trip to San Francisco & I had no clue what any of the ‘dials’ meant.

I studied photography in college and graduated with a BFA. This is where I realized I had a passion for photographing people in not-so-typical locations.

I love photographing people because I believe that everyone is beautiful in their own way. The trick is letting them feel comfortable enough to let their true selves shine through.

I have a music fetish and ‘need’ new tunes at least once a week.

I have the tendency to be overly stubborn and independent.

I love being in my car alone. It’s my sanctuary where I can be with my thoughts, my music, and the world.

When I drive, I’m constantly visualizing scenarios for photo shoots as I scrutinize possible future venues.

My goal in life is ‘to be different’ but sometimes I just want to fit in ;)

I love popcorn – but mostly kettle corn, homemade, or regular microwave popcorn.

I could eat ice cream every day, but try not to.

I have the tendency to buy things on impulse or to ‘stock up on’ so I have way too much stuff for my own good.

I love it when the seasons change: the majesty of the first snowfall, the excitement of blossoming trees, the heat of summer sun, and the bright colored leaves of fall.

3 words to describe me are: creative, stubborn, perfectionist

I came to your site to see photos of Libby and Joe. Then I found out you’ve done photos of Mendy too! I saw Mendy play at Village Coffee last Saturday, and I’ll be doing Libby and Joe’s wedding cake (hopefully, if they can ever decide on a flavour!) Small Lake City, indeed!
