Before Kristen and Keith were married, we took some time to take pictures of the two of them. We were carted around Red Butte Gardens in the fanciest golf cart I’ve ever been in! We were taken to some lovely areas that were beginning to bloom, so the grounds were lush and green and the trees were still a little bare in some spots.
The light was perfect, the weather was perfect, and Kristen and Keith were perfect in front of the camera. Kristen is always very natural and she’s great at posing and mixing some fun into our sessions. She looked absolutely gorgeous in her wedding gown with the back all laced up. Keith was looking mighty handsome in his tux, silver tie, and sunglasses. It was nice for them to have this time together before the ceremony!
And, even though they were facing the hot sun, my favorite location was our last: the hill of daffodils. The yellows look amazing next to the sky :)

Kristen and Keith’s wedding reception was the perfect mix of elegance and fun. Everything looked exquisite in the Orangerie at Red Butte Gardens. They took the time to go visit each guest who came to see them. It was fantastic to follow them around to see them hug all their family and friends.
I loved how they cut the cake, especially how they fed it to each other — at the same time. Their first dance as a couple was gorgeous as we had the golden mountains and bright blue sky reflected in the windows of the building, plus they actually had FUN while they danced, which is always an added bonus :)
So many great dancing photos, with Matt Moses as their DJ. The bride and her bridesmaids, all the kids, and even the parents got into it and danced the night away. Such a lovely day for an awesome couple!

Kristen and Keith had a marvelous wedding ceremony in a garden as the sun was beginning its descent into the western sky. I loved watching the wedding procession come down the windy paths of the desert greenery. The blue sky was brilliant as they walked towards us, and I loved how they were back lit with a beautiful warm light during the service.

A big thanks to Kat, who assisted me and got this great shot of the bride & groom’s first kiss as husband & wife!

If you look closely, you can see lipstick marks on Keith’s cheek :)

Kristen and Keith were married on Friday, the 13th of May. Yes, that’s right, Friday the 13th. It was perfect for them and we couldn’t have asked for better weather.
Their ceremony and reception were at Red Butte Gardens on the East bench of Salt Lake City. Although not all of the trees were in full bloom, we were surrounded by green hills, beautiful flowers, and an amazingly blue sky. Plus, the Orangerie, where their reception was held, is a luscious greenhouse with big windows and soft light. Everything was gorgeous!
It was fun to photograph Kristen get primped and pampered before the ceremony, including all the excitement and hustle & bustle of everyone else. Such excitement and anticipation filled the air :)

Lacey and Dallas had an amazing reception and I thoroughly enjoyed capturing the essence of the evening. It was fun to see them greet all of their loved ones, to watch the kids play & dance, and to enjoy the band’s ambiance. I definitely had a hard time narrowing down which pictures to share with you on the blog. It really was such a wonderful event and I am grateful to have been a part of it!

Lacey and Dallas had their wedding reception at Cucina Nassi, a gorgeous location that was the perfect setting. The flowers, including the bouquet and center pieces, were created at Every Blooming Thing. The purples and variety of spring flowers all looked incredible.
Scrumptious gelato and delectable chocolate cake were served along with biscotti and hot chocolate. Everything looked amazing! The chocolate cake was the best cake I’ve ever eaten (too bad after I’d only eaten a bite, I turned to take a picture, and when I turned back, it was gone). I didn’t get to try anything else, but I’m sure it all was wonderful.
Again, I want to thank Brandi for coming along to assist and 2nd shoot with me. She captured some great moments and she photographed the picture of the building for me :)

I absolutely loved the time that I had with Lacey and Dallas after their wedding ceremony to go around the Salt Lake LDS Temple and take pictures. These two remind me of a Hollywood couple and are simply stunning.
Lacey looked absolutely exquisite in her gown: the flowers on the bodice were perfect for her spring wedding. And, I am in love with her purple heels! Dallas was snazzy in his pin-striped suit and purple tie that brought in Lacey’s colors perfectly. They are just so natural and fun together!
PS A big thank you to Brandi for coming to assist and 2nd shoot with me!

Lacey and Dallas were married on the first weekend of May. We still had beautiful blossoms at the Salt Lake LDS Temple and the weather was actually pleasant and warm, for a change.
I loved seeing all of Lacey and Dallas’ family & friends greet them and give them hugs after their wedding ceremony. Everyone was so happy and excited for this union, and as you can see, the bride and groom were both grinning from ear to ear as they exited the temple.
