I’m VERY excited about this post, as it is my brother who we actually call Skip and his lovely fiance Sarah.
Sarah and Skip met in high school: he is two grades older and Sarah had a secret crush on him. A couple years past and then last May they reconnected. Pretty much after their first date they have been inseparable! They are so adorable and are constantly expressing their love to one another. Plus, Sarah is super sweet and is totally gorgeous.
I’m so happy and excited for their wedding coming up in May!
Emily and I were actually friends our freshman year of college (I am not going to divulge when that was) and we recently reconnected on facebook. I have to say that I was thrilled to hear of her engagement to Johnny, a handsome, smart man who is whisking her away to upstate New York.
Lucky for me, Johnny flew out to Utah last week so that he could drive back east with Emily. We were able to shoot their engagement session on the day of their departure. A big thanks to them for taking the time to do this!
I loved seeing Emily glow from ear to ear. Johnny definitely brings out the best in her and I can just tell these two are going to be really happy together. Congratulations you two!
PS Today, March 4th, is also Emily’s birthday. Happy Birthday, Em!
Zula and George sure know how to throw a party. After greeting their guests when the ceremony finished, their dinner and reception were in full swing. They had a special musical number, a guitarist and cellist, which was absolutely phenomenal. They also had tons of dancing, including a money dance (you can’t go wrong with a money dance!).
I loved the detail shots of their rings and the cake. The rings are traditional Mongolian symbols (I wish I knew what they meant….) but I think they are absolutely lovely!
Zula and George left in a sea of white rose petals. How romantic!
Zula and George decided to also have their ring ceremony at an old church in Salt Lake City. This church with a red brick exterior and stained glass windows turned out to be a beautiful place for the rest of their evening!
Blue and white adorned the big room where the ceremony was held: flowing, shimmery drapes, white chairs with big blue ribbons, assorted blue & white flowers. The details in how everything came together was amazing!
The ceremony was very touching, as they had Zula’s mother help with the traditional Mongolian wedding ceremony and some of their closest friends shared remarks. Laughing and smiles topped it all off, which is one thing that make Zula and George unique. You can always expect those two things when with this happy couple :)
Thanks to Latasha for taking this great image of the ring bearer above.
I took this image above as a series of pictures that were then stitched together in Photoshop so I could get a more comprehensive angle of the room.
This shot above was also taken as a series of images and then stitched together in Photohsop.
After Zula and George finished their wedding ceremony in the Salt Lake City LDS temple, we spent some time photographing the two of them around the temple grounds. Although I shoot at this location often, I never tire of it, as it is extremely beautiful and classic. Combine this beautiful architecture with Zula and George, a very classy, gorgeous couple and I am in heaven!
Zula looks absolutely incredible in her wedding gown and George is the perfect companion in his black tux. To see more pictures of this couple at their formal session, CLICK HERE.
I was grateful that Zula lasted as long as she did outside, as it was a very cold day. Good thing George was around to keep her warm a little longer ;)
Zula and George were married on a VERY cold January day. As I was waiting with Latasha (who was my second photographer) my fingers almost froze as I was taking detail shots around the temple grounds. But, nonetheless, it was still a beautiful day and a perfect day for Zula and George to be married.
They were surrounded by many loved ones who came in from out of town for this very special occasion. Zula’s mom came all the way from Mongolia! I’m glad everyone survived the freezing temperatures so that we could capture these beautiful moments :)
A big thanks to Latasha for taking this fun shot (above) as I organized the group shots. I love this angle!
