Earlier this week, I had the joy & pleasure of photographing Kristen and Keith! I am so excited for these two to get hitched.
I just have to say, it’s humorous to me because I met Keith a few years back because my friend Mike wanted to set us up. Kristen is Mike’s sister. Good thing I didn’t get in the way of their happiness! These two have an amazing relationship and great chemistry. Their personalities fit so well together and I love how happy they are.
Plus, they were all for it when I suggested that we trespass for our third and final location. I have been wanting to photograph at that particular location for years…and everything came together perfectly this time so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. I’m so glad they went along with it :)

Ok. Don’t judge. I do, in fact, realize Christmas was a month ago. Better late than never, right? :)
I’m super excited about these pics because I was trying out my new addition I had gotten only a few days prior – a 105mm f/2.8 macro lens! It sure is a beauty. This baby is sharp and fast and makes me oh so very happy. Since it’s a longer lens, certain members of my family got special treatment and I was able to take their picture more. Anyone sitting close to me was too close and I was too lazy to move as we were opening presents.
That first image is my nephew: Mr. Grumpy Grumperson. He missed out on all the gift giving and took a nap. By the look on his face here, I’m glad he did! ;)

My brother gets excited about body wash!

I learned my lesson. Don’t stop taking pictures, even if you think you got the shot. 2 seconds after I took this picture, he threw down the watch across the floor and said furiously “That’s a girl watch!”. He then proceeded to stomp off for a little temper tantrum. It made us all laugh :)

He was so stoked about his new Star Wars Lego t-shirt!

I am such a cool aunt – personalized photos & love notes written on the back :)

Have I mentioned that my nephews were tired & grumpy?

Trying out the ‘macro’ part of my lens and loving it :)

Georgia and Jason had a great reception complete with beautiful decorations, a spectacular cake with sparkly orange flowers, an old-fashioned photo booth, and a blizzard to send them off.
I seriously was in awe as I watched Georgia greet & hug all of her guests. She hugs each and every one of them as if they are her best most important friend in the whole world. You can see it in her face that she REALLY means it! Her hugs are one of a kind and she has a deep love for all those in her life.
Watching Georgia and Jason dance was one of the highlights of my evening. That special moment where they share a dance and take time for each other despite all the people who want to talk with them is truly an amazing moment to behold. Plus, the red curtain in the background was perfect!

Georgia and Jason had a simple, elegant, beautiful ceremony. The church was filled to the brim with guests and loved ones (some guests had to go up on the stand and watch from the choir seats because the chapel was so full).
What a joyous ceremony!

Before their ceremony started, Georgia and Jason reserved some time for me to photograph them together in this amazing house! I love these shots, as to me they clearly show the love & tenderness they have for each other. The way they gaze into one another’s eyes and the comfort they have with each other is noticeable and so endearing.
For a bit, Georgia needed to lie down and get off her feet. I love their interaction when Jason came and sat next to her. Beautiful!

Georgia and Jason got ready for their wedding in a BEAUTIFUL home with big windows, tall ceilings, and stone walls. I wish I knew more about architecture so I could rave about all the amazing qualities of this home…but alas, I do not know those things….so you will have to settle for my basic description. Just know it was incredible :)
Jason and the guys got ready in a simple, white bedroom with vaulted ceilings surrounded by windows. I absolutely LOVED the light in there!
Georgia was doted on by her sisters and friends who all pitched in to do her hair, makeup, and help her get in her lovely dress. You can tell that Georgia was glowing and smiling from ear to ear. That is exactly how a bride should be!
Jason was lucky enough to catch a sneak peek of his bride and smile adoringly at her whilst her dress was being tightened and tied.

Boy am I excited to share these pictures of Georgia and Jason’s formal session! It was a very windy November day: only 2 days before their amazing wedding. We spent most our time at This is the Place State Park taking advantage of open fields, stone walls, hay bales, horses, and old houses.
Georgia was so excited when the lovely Natalia allowed us to use her gorgeous horse in some of the photos. Eclipse is beautiful and I loved the contrast of its rich black hair with Georgia’s white wedding dress. Add in a little bit of wind, a lot of happiness, and voila this session was incredible!
Before we left the park, we brought in Jason’s awesome orange Volvo complete with an I <3 Georgia sticker, a 'Just Married' sign, and balloons. Seriously, this session could not have been better if I had tried.
To finish off, we went over to the McCune mansion and had about 10 minutes to shoot before they closed up. I seriously love that place and its beautiful rooms. Alas, if only we'd had more time. At least we got to shoot in the bathroom :)
Stay tuned for Georgia and Jason's wedding pictures that will be posted soon!
