Between courses at dinner, Emma and Andrew allowed me to sneak them away to photograph them around Bristow Manor. It was way too cool of a location to pass up on photographing this beautiful couple there!
I loved the old barn, complete with corrugated metal and rusting paint. The green paint made Emma’s eyes look like emeralds!

This image is hanging in my studio now, printed on metal. Looks AMAZING!

Emma and Andrew had a beautiful dinner and rockin’ reception. Emma’s mother and Andrew’s father gave touching toasts before the meal. Then the dance party got started with the traditional ‘first dance’ of the bride & groom. I love photographing a newly married couple’s first dance! The party really picked up later on and let me just say, these guys KNOW how to move and groove ;)

Before the dinner and reception went under way, Emma and Andrew primped and pampered themselves at the Bristow Manor. Complete with drinks and a plate of cheese & crackers, Andrew was able to lift up his feet for a few moments while his bride was dolled up by her entourage.
I love that we had time to photograph the wedding party in front of this glorious Manor. Their simple red and black attire fit in perfectly with the simple white facade with plain black shutters. Simply marvelous!

Emma and Andrew were married in the Washington DC LDS Temple this last August. It seriously was a beautiful day: not as hot as I imagined it would be and overcast. Perfect.
You may recognize some of the crowd from Mesia and Brett’s wedding I photographed in May. I loved hanging out with the family and friends of Emma and Andrew before they made their grand exit from the temple: the kids were glowing with excitement, parents beaming with pride, bridesmaids were looking gorgeous, and the groomsmen knew they looked good.
As Emma and Andrew greeted everyone, the smiles and hugs were a glorious site to behold. I loved having the opportunity to capture all those precious moments!

I love I caught a shot of a dude checking out the groom’s ring. (smiles)

This little fella was tuckered out and not in the mood to be in any of the group shots….

Marissa and Issac had their wedding reception at the McCune mansion. It’s an amazing mansion located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City.
I loved everything about their reception: from the immaculate 3-tiered wedding cake with a vintage bride & groom cake topper, to the band ‘Musk Music Productions’ who created the perfect mood for dancing, to the Opa Greek Dance where the newly married couple were carried around the room in chairs. I mean, everything was fun, bright, and full of energy. Such an amazing night!

One of the many parts of a wedding day which I truly enjoy is after the ceremony, where the bride & groom are surrounded by loved ones. All the smiles, hugs, and joy is beautiful to behold. As Marissa and Isaac exited the White Chapel, their friends and family lined the sidewalk, showering them with rose petals. It was lovely!
We got caught in a few sprinkles of rain, but it didn’t put a damper on anyone’s mood :)

Marissa and Isaac had a glorious August wedding at the White Chapel in Salt Lake City. It’s a small, intimate chapel with beautiful stained glass, charming wooden pews, and a simple red-brick facade: the perfect location for Marissa and Isaac’s wedding.
Pink flowers and ribbons adorned the chapel. Even the programs were pink :) Rose petals greeted the bride as she walked down the aisle (we actually got a double dose of the petals because the cute little flower girl walked the aisle twice, hehe). It was a beautiful, special ceremony that I was delighted to be a part of.

I am very excited about this session!
Some very good friends, the Petty family, had me take their pictures up at Alta ski resort in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Of course the day everyone could get together was cloudy & slightly windy. I had to change my camera settings every few seconds because the light was constantly changing. But, despite the finicky weather, they are a beautiful, fun, awesome group!
I love that first shot where I am getting my settings all ready before I situated the group. Everyone is doing their own thing and there is so much personality expressed!
