Celebrating Life: July 2010

I am turning 29 in a few weeks. July 12th, to be exact.

I’m not gonna lie, I’m not too excited about turning 29, as it’s the last year I will be in my 20s. I might as well be turning 50 and officially ‘over the hill’. Maybe that’s a bit dramatic, but that’s how I feel.

To help me forget about my birthday, I am doing the 2nd Annual Celebrating Life Series!

For the month of July, I will photograph 22 people — from the awesome age of 29 to the mature age of 50. Last year, I photographed 28 people from the ages of 1 to 28 to celebrate life from childhood to adulthood. I figure this year I can focus on what lies ahead, what I have to look forward to.

As my gift to you, I would like to offer a free session to the first person (for each age) who sends an email to celebrate@threewinksstudio.com. Include your NAME and AGE in the subject of the email. In the body of the email, write your name, phone number, a little blurb about yourself, and one picture. Each session will come with an 8 1/2 ×11 fine art print and will be approximately 15 minutes. (Please let me know your availability in conjunction with your scheduled date in your email to me)

As your gift to me, instead of paying the regular session fee, I ask that you donate $25 to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. I’m all about WIN — WIN — WIN scenarios :)

I’m hoping to shoot every Wednesday evening starting at 7pm from June 23rd to July 14th. Here is a run down of the shooting schedule. Please take these dates and times into consideration before you submit your name. There will be a waiting list for each age so if someone can’t come on their designated day, their spot will automatically go to the next person in line. Again, it is first come, first serve.

June 23rd — Ages 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34
June 30th — Ages 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40
July 7th — Ages 41, 42, 43, 44, 45
July 14th — Ages 46, 47, 48, 49, 50

Here are some images from last year. Please help me spread the word this year so I can fill all the ages!

I felt the same way about turning 29. We still have one more year until we are old, right? Good luck with your project.

Stacy:

Glad to see that you are going to re-start the project again. I enjoyed your last series in the project and look forward to your accomplishments this year for the project.

When I turned 29, I thought my life was over, however, I will be 57 at my next birthday. Not over the hill, just the more wiser.
