Hey folks. I’ve been thinking about the blog lately and if I’m really providing you all with the BEST experience possible. If you could PLEASE answer the poll to the right and let me know what you think.
Do I post too many pictures? Do I post often enough? Is my content worth reading? What do you enjoy or not enjoy? If you have specific things to say, please leave a comment!
thanks :)

Here’s my two cents: I love your blog! I love the variety of pics and I love that I can quickly scroll through the ones that don’t catch my eye and stare longer at the ones that do (am anti-slide show for this reason). I am not a photographer, but if I were I would probably be interested in what kind of equipment or fancy editing you do with images, but as is, I just enjoy seeing the world through your lens.

I love reading your blog. It’s a good representation of who you are and your wonderful, classy work!
Well, somehow the poll won’t work for me, but I tried to mark the first option:
Love it, don’t change a thing!
Thanks you guys for your kind words :) Really means a lot. And thanks, Heidi for your suggestions. I do, sometimes, post info on my equipment or how I edit, but it would be fun to incorporate that into the blog more often. Really, I appreciate that all of you take the time to visit my blog :)
And, I tried submitting an answer on the poll and I can’t even get it to work. Hmmm….wordpress polls seems to have some bugs. I will try to work them out. For the time being, just leave me more comments please :)

I wasn’t able to work the poll or at least get any sort of response that indicated that it worked, so I thought I’d leave a comment.
I really enjoy your photos, I prefer not to have them slide show format and just be able to scroll through them.
I’d like more posts about your process and how you go about composing an image, or posing a couple or anything else you may not feel diminishes your competitive advantage.
Anyway, keep it up, I look forward to seeing in my RSS reader that you’ve posted something.

Personally I think slideshows are nice… but I never actually look through them. haha
Also… I think the quantity on each post is fine however I’d put a little divider line in there. So if if going to your home page you’ll see the exerpt (like first 4-8 pics) but then you’ll click on read more to see the FULL thing.
That way your blog is more manageable.
Perhaps you were already doing that…. hmmm… maybe I’m not too smart haha
I’m starting to direct things a bit more toward the other photographers looking at pictures… so I still put a bunch of pics but from time to time I’ll put a little ditty about the pics or use a photoshoot to demonstrate a theme.
(i’m not always consistent on this but it helps… and I know you already write stuff from time to time anyway.)
Just pointing out that we like your feedback on pics
anyway that’s what I thought.
Love you work AND taking peeks at you BLOG. Don’t change a thing – definately not less pics! I like how you show your work AND describe the “scene”.
A fan,
kim (Annie Post’s aunt)

I wouldn’t change much. I but I would like to know more of what your thinking… but that seems to come through in your photos too. sometimes I think there are just too many pictures to scroll through. but then I start looking at which ones I would pair off and am struck by just how GOOD each one is. So if you start posting fewer pictures, I will be very disappointed.
The volume of the pictures creates an immediacy and intimacy to the experiences you record, precisely because they must be scrolled through. it’s like being along for the ride. And as I scroll through them, one catches my eye, so I scroll back up, and then I look more carefully, and a later picture makes me think of an earlier one I skipped over and it all means I spend more time than I planned thinking and wondering about the content and qualities of your pictures. Thank you.
I like that your pictures create a sort of narrative. I especially like it when some of your pictures reveal tension or distraction or discomfort or tenderness or ordinariness because it shows the whole experience. they have evoked a lot of thought and emotion. at least for me.
thank you.

Hi stacey – brooke’s old roommate here. I told you I would get my sister in laws blog to you – the one who does photography. here it is – http://thewrightfampics.blogspot.com/
oh, and i love the pictures of the wedding, you did such a great job!
Hi Stacey,
I love your blog. Your posts and the descriptions of your clients brings them even more to life. It shares the intimacies that you have with your clients and their captures.
Please don’t change a thing.
As a beginning photographer, your site and captures has taught me an immense amount about portraiture and wedding photography. You are a great photographer and a great educator as well.
Thank you for support as well. It is greatly appreciated!
I am seriously blown away by everyone's input and compliments. I appreciate that you all enjoy the blog and the photos (although maybe the ones out there who don't like it are too chicken to leave a comment). I also appreciate the suggestions and hope to incorporate them into the blog as well. Thanks again!
