Hello my fellow blog readers. I have a BIG announcement!
In 10 days, I am moving to the sunny city of Los Angeles!
For the time being, it’s only going to be a temporary move. I’m already planning on coming back to Salt Lake at least once a month for the first few months. I’m not going to leave my wonderful Utah clients behind, so if you have a wedding coming up or if you want to schedule a portrait session for the Spring when the weather warms up, please do not hesitate to contact me. Like I said, I’m just trying it out over there and if I decide to stay more permanently, then you’ll be the first to know.

Well, the big day finally arrived! Ana Maria and Ryan were all smiles on their wedding day. They have amazing chemistry together and act so natural in front of the camera! If it hadn’t been for the fact that we needed to get to the luncheon, I could’ve photographed them all day. Congratulations you two!

Ana Maria and Ryan were married in the Timpanogos Temple on January 10th. It really could not have been a more beautiful winter day. The sun shone, the sky was blue, and they were surrounded by their close family and friends!
I’ve also included a few images of their reception details. I love the lilies and green accent color

In case you weren’t aware, Ana Maria and Ryan are both on the Brigham Young University Ballroom Dance Team. They met while on tour together! At their wedding reception, the two of them performed a special little dance that Ana Maria choreographed. Full of both traditional moves and a latin dance (you can tell I’m not a dancer since I don’t know proper dance lingo), this one was definitely a crowd pleaser. Many of the guests who came were, in fact, also dancers. Needless to say, the dance floor was always brimming with spirited spins and fancy footwork.

Ana Maria and Ryan had an abundance of family and friends attend their wedding reception last Saturday. They didn’t have a typical receiving line which allowed them to move around, mingle, and meander through the multitude. Oh, what a fun night! (I have some awesome dancing photos to post as well). They departed with a shower of bubbles and whistles from the crowd.

For any of you blog fans who have been around for at least a year…..you will remember Camila from her maternity session last year. It’s amazing how much can change (and stay the same) in just a year! Her little Jade is turning one in a couple of months and Camila’s going to have another little bundle of fun coming up shortly. It was sweet for me to shoot the whole family this time. Thanks for having me photograph your beautiful family!

I was thrilled when we finally had time to take Ana Maria’s bridals. She has been swamped with wedding plans & applying to grad school. Her wedding is tomorrow and it’s supposed to be another sunny, beautiful winter day. I just have to point out that she is wearing two dresses in these pics. She sewed the second one herself! It seriously is stunning on her, but I can’t imagine a wedding dress not looking good on her

This session was also the day after Christmas, my second shoot on Boxing Day
It was the perfect day because all their children and grandchildren were still in town for the holidays. What a beautiful family! We did the smaller family and individual shots as we were waiting for everyone to arrive. You’d think the kids would already be tired of having their picture taken once we got around to the group shot, but once I had them posed there was complete silence in the room. I was seriously amazed and impressed. Thanks Brintons for being so great!

If you haven’t noticed….I’m a little behind on blogging…
I had the pleasure of photographing Emily, Heather, and Peter the day after Christmas right before they had to be at the airport to fly to California. I mean, talk about hard core! These three siblings were quite the trio, too — stylish, saucy, and so fun to be with. Thanks guys!

What more can I say, than that I loved being a part of Lacey and Jared’s special day.
Lacey has a talent for being concerned and caring about those around her, even when she is supposed to be the center of attention
They pulled off a beautiful wedding with less than 2 months of planning. All who made it (in the terrible snowy weather) had an amazing time celebrating the union of Lacey and Jared. Congrats you two!
