Doesn’t Karen have amazing hazel eyes and a beautiful smile? I just love her natural look and feel. She told me she gets nervous in front of the camera, but I think she needs to realize how relaxed and real she was for me! And, I just adore the variety of scarves she brought — it’s amazing how such a simple thing can make such a difference.

Let me tell you a little bit about Karen. She is currently a software tester, but would love to be an artist full time. She is a painter mostly, but also does printmaking and sculpture. A funny side note: at the end of Karen’s session, we found out that she just got a studio space where I have my studio! She just barely moved in this month. Isn’t it a small world?
