I don’t know about all of you, but I’m not the greatest at keeping my New Year’s Resolutions. I always have a LONG list of things to improve and work on, and rarely do I follow through on them for more than a week or two. It can get discouraging at times…..
Because of knee problems, stress, and no discipline, I am out of shape and not happy with how I look. So, it starts now! (it really started yesterday but I wasn’t able to blog about it then) No more candy or desserts. It sounds simple enough, but with how I’ve been eating lately, it’s going to take A LOT of willpower. I am going to allow myself one treat on one day of the week to help keep my sanity. I’m hoping to ride my bike more and hopefully start running if my knee can take it. BUT, the no sugar thing is first and foremost.
What are ways that you guys keep in shape or keep yourself healthy and fit? Anyone have any great healthy food recipes to share?

Somebody told me that exercising for 10 minutes (even just stretching) BEFORE breakfast was a good way to burn excess. The premise is that since there is very little food in your system, your body will get energy from what’s already there, and help shed fat. So they say.

I’m with you on this Stacy. Only one dessert a week from now on. Even pregnant ones need to watch their sugar otherwise they gain 42 pounds like I did last time..yikes! Here’s to health!

There is a cookbook by Ellie Kreiger that is awesome…she has a way of eating without depriving yourself (just healthy). If you want some recipes I will give you some…I have the cook book! By the way I think you look cute as you are…but self reflection is very important! Let me know about the recipes, she has tips in there too (like how we eat with our eyes before our mouths…..hhhhmmmm

Hey guys, thanks for the ideas and the support! Mike, I started off this morning by exercising before breakfast. Camilla, yay for you on watching your sugar intake, too. We can support each other in our times of weakness
Meagan, thanks for sharing that cook book. I’d love a few recipes. I’ll send you an email.
