I guess I’ve always known it was a possibility… I just never thought it would happen to me. I went to my Google Adwords account two days ago to find that my balance was 12 times as big as what it should be. I was confused, shocked, angry, and wanting some answers.
Google’s team was prompt in responding and quickly found that someone had hacked into my account. They are going to make sure I am not charged for the fees that were incurred. I am grateful in the way they are handling the situation.
BUT, it scares me to think that someone was able to get into my google account. Does that mean they had access to my email, too? What else did they take from me or learn about me? I am in the process of changing all my passwords. I encourage all of you who haven’t changed your passwords in a while, like myself, that you do it immediately. You never know when something like this could actually happen to you.

Stacy, your not alone. 6 months ago my PayPal account (personal) got hacked and they took $4,000 out of our checking account. We got the money back but we were in a panic for over a month. I’ve since gotten a keycode for my PayPal business account and the personal one is canceled.
Thanks for the reminder about how insecure the whole internet is. Looking at the internet, stock markets, politics and business, it looks like the rogues of the world are on the rise.
On a happier note, I added a link to your website and blog on the Salt Lake Sites directory. The links are on the photographers and photo blogs page. When the world gets nasty, people need to turn to their local community.
Good Luck.
