Me

Photobucket

Last Thursday, Camila drove all the way up to Salt Lake from Utah County to take pictures of me. (CLICK HERE
to see the maternity pictures I took of Camila in February.) Now, I really hate having my picture taken. I feel awkward and silly in front of the camera, but she does an amazing job! Now I just need to tone up a bit (or just use the liquify tool on some of those babies). lol. Check out Camila’s BLOG to see more.

I love knowing lots of great photographers that inspire me, who I can refer clients to if I’m booked, and that I can talk shop with. Thanks for everything, Camila!

A few weeks ago I helped my friend, Corbin, shoot a wedding (well, just the reception and the bride getting ready). There was a minute where we weren’t taking pictures, so I snapped this one of the two of us. It was funny ‘cuz I didn’t realize it was zoomed in so close until after I took it. Haha. I liked it.

Hope you all have a happy Friday!

Swimming at Northcrest

Photobucket

Northcrest is the pool where I learned to swim. I have many wonderful memories of the bright water, long sunny days, swimming with cousins, swim meets, green hair, shark tales, and handstand contests. When my nephews invited me to go swimming with them last week, I jumped at the chance to take pictures of them creating the same memories that I did when I was their age. I love Northcrest!

Meagan and David Bridals

Photobucket

This Saturday morning, Meagan had to wake up at 5:30 to get ready for her bridals. Between you and me, I’d have to say that it was worth it. Isn’t she gorgeous?

From the flattering cut of her dress to her birdcage veil to her saucy shoes, she had every detail perfected. Dave looked pretty good, too. His pinstriped suit with his orange tie were a perfect accent to his lovely bride. Can’t wait for their wedding in September!

New Music – Week 8 Jose Gonzales

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Bb8P7dfjVw&feature=related]

I know I’m WAY behind on this one….which is why I’m still going to share it. I figure there are still some of you out there who haven’t seen the beauty of this commercial for Sony Bravia. They filmed this with REAL bouncy balls. Nothing was faked on the computer. It is seriously incredible and beautifully mesmerizing. Plus, the song, Heartbeats by Jose Gonzales, is spectacular. It’s my new fave right now. Hope you enjoy!

the Richards Family

Photobucket

I am a little behind on my blogging….these were taken last Friday evening at the International Peace Gardens.

This awesome family has not been together for YEARS. Due to college, LDS missions, med school, and traveling, these guys are off making their dreams come true. This last weekend, their activities collided and they were able to spend a few days together. Yay! Thanks for spending time with me so we could capture you all together :)

Sandra, Anthony, and Lachlan

Photobucket

I loved spending time with Sandra, Anthony, and Lachlan this last Monday evening. Sandra has gorgeous porcelain skin and dark hair and I swear she looks like Anne Hathaway. Anthony may look a little tough on the outside with his goatee, http://threewinksstudio.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.phpbut he’s so kind and sweet with his family. Lachlan is a typical soon-to-be-three-year-old who was fine as long as we kept moving around and entertaining him :)

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention Simba….their eldest son (aka the dog). Simba has been in the family for 12 years and is basically a member of the family. He’s the perfect dog for little Lachlan because he’s mellow, obedient, and loves to play.

Thanks guys for such a fun evening!

the Breast Cancer Site

A friend sent me this email:

A favor to ask, it only takes a minute….
Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on ‘donating a mammogram’ for free (pink window in the middle).

This doesn’t cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors /advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.

Here’s the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

Amber and Joe

Photobucket

Saturday, I got to spend the day with Amber and Joe up in Logan, UT.

I love the story about how they met. Apparently Joe wanted to ask Amber out and had someone ask her if she was available. She jokingly said she had a Spanish lover named Pablo (I probably got the name wrong) so it took Joe a little bit longer before he realized that she actually wanted to go out with him. So funny. Joe proposed at the end of May while he took her a helicopter ride! Isn’t that romantic?
