Isn’t this the cutest family you have ever seen? Ok. I admit, I am biased. This is my sister and her family. We were finally able to take their 2007 family photo tonight.
Although it was chilly outside, the boys were so well behaved! I seriously love my nephews, Will and James, so much. They always brighten my day when I need a lift. I am blessed to live close to them so that I can be such a big part of their lives. (And Will, know that I love you even though I have more pictures of James)

I am finally getting my life back in order from my computer catastrophe…or starting to at least…
One thing that was holding me back was that I lost my Photoshop Actions, which means I didn’t have a quick way to get images ready for my blog. Today, I finally remade my actions. I decided to try something new for my stamp. Do you like it? Or do you like the old way with a sidebar on the right? I love any input you have!
Back to the photos…on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, I went with some friends up to a cabin up in Kamas. We arrived just as the sun was setting, but I could tell it was going to be beautiful. When I woke up in the morning, I quickly got dressed and went for a walk with my camera. Breathtaking! Although it was chilly, it was a gorgeous day with rich blue skies and glistening frost.
After breakfast, we went skeet shooting. I’ve only posted a few pics of the guys (sorry girls). It was a blast. As you can see, these guys really know what they’re doing. We got back into the city in just enough time for all of us to travel to our own Thanksgiving dinners. What a fabulous way to start off my Thanksgiving festivities!

I hope everyone had a wonderful, relaxing Thanksgiving weekend! I had a great week and will be posting pictures from it shortly.
Last Tuesday, I was updating my System and ended up reformatting my hard drive, which isn’t supposed to happen. I went into the Apple Store and they ran a few tests and told me that my information was unrecoverable and that it was a strange, fluky thing for this to happen. I was devastated. Luckily, I had ALL my photos backed up on another hard drive, so you all have no need to fret. I did, however, lose all my business documents, invoices, logo, client information, passwords, and applications.
After coming home from the Apple Store on Friday, I have been working on recovering the information. I soon found that the tests at Apple were not thorough. The contents from my hard drive are coming back as one big, huge mess, but I am finding the important documents and such. Please, please be patient with me as I’m trying to sort through this mess. I have a new computer which I am getting set up and I will be getting back to editing shortly.
If you have any questions/concerns/reminders for me, please email me at stacy@threewinksstudio.com.

I feel so blessed that Three Winks Studio is featured AGAIN on thebrideandgroom.com (previously utahbrideandgroom.com). I loved Bill and Carli’s wedding day so much and it is a treat to be able to share it with a wider audience.
Also, Three Winks Studio has been featured as a vendor on thebrideandgroom.com as well, which is such an honor! I want to thank those at thebrideandgroom.com who have been keeping an eye on my blog and who have given me this great privilege.

I had a blast taking Ashley’s bridals! She has a gorgeous dress that is a hint more gold than cream colored. It looks BEAUTIFUL with her red hair and light complexion. Ashley had her hair and make-up done by Crystal at Signature Brides and she looked amazing.
We first went to Wasatch Furniture (located on State Street, who was super kind to let us photograph in their store). It is filled to the brim with antique, eclectic furniture. It has become one of my new favorite places to just go browse. It fit perfectly with Ashley’s dress and style!
Then, as the sun was setting we rushed over to Sugarhouse. I ended up using my light since we were shooting into the night. I love it because it created a beautiful, dramatic light. I am excited for Ashley and Chase’s wedding coming up in December!

The Brockbank and Sevilla families greeted me with open arms when I met them all last Friday night. Rebeca and David are from Texas, so that was the first time I had met them as well. I felt like part of the family right from the start!
Rebeca and David had a beautiful wedding and it was a perfect November day. From their rehearsal dinner on Friday night filled with laughter, to a brunch the next morning to celebrate their union, followed by their wedding at the Timpanogos Temple, ending with a special ring ceremony and reception. (I know that was a long sentence). I just wouldn’t ever be able to say enough about these guys. They are a joy to be with and I could feel the love they have for one another.
My favorite part of their reception was the guest book. Rebeca had this amazing idea to have all the guests take a picture of themselves with a polaroid camera. They taped the photo into a book and then wrote Rebeca and David a little note of love or advice. What a cute idea!
I also need to give a big shout out and thanks to Bethany Jackman who came on Saturday to be my 2nd shooter. She is an awesome photographer and it was great to have her around. Thanks again Bethany! Here’s a link to her BLOG.
Here are some of my favorites from their Wedding Day. Let me know what you think!

Yesterday, I had the privilege of photographing the Lloyd family. They have been in Utah for the past 6 weeks because Rich, the dad, has been going through cancer treatments. Only in August did he learn he had a tumor in his brain. I am so impressed with their family: their strength, optimistic attitude, and love, to name only a few things. To read more about Rich and his story, CLICK HERE.
We went to the International Peace Gardens because I wanted a place we could have great scenery and backgrounds, but somewhere the kids wouldn’t get bored. It worked perfectly! Whenever the kids started getting antsy, we’d just move to a new spot. It was so great to spend time with them, see them interact, and feel their love for one another. Their boys are fantastic, too. David, James, and Josh all are a joy to be around. I hope these photos can be a treasure to the Lloyds as a reminder of this difficult, yet wonderful time of their lives.

Where do I begin? Natalie is one of my close friends from college – we studied photography together. It’s funny because we have similar facial features, blonde hair, and thick-rimmed glasses and people would and still get us mixed up ALL THE TIME. We seriously could be sisters. We have kept in touch over the years, helping each other out as we both grow our businesses.
I felt honored that she asked me to take her family pictures this year! I mean, last year she had Jon Canlas (another one of our friends from school) do it and he is AMAZING.
I had big shoes to fill.
Crew and Raleigh are so much fun! Crew is hilarious in front of the camera. He loves to make goofy faces and jump up and down. Raleigh, on the other hand, doesn’t like having his picture taken — he likes to be the one taking them, the same as his mom. He has his own ‘camera’ (a pair of binoculars) that we had to bring out to make him happy.
There were so many fun photos of them, it was seriously super hard for me to narrow them down for the blog. CLICK HERE to watch their SLIDESHOW! (And, Crew, this song is for you since I know you like the movie Ice Age)
