Kristen + Lane

Tonight, we shot Kristen and Lane’s engagement pictures. I had such a blast! These two are incredible and so perfect for each other. Lane is soft-spoken with an awesome sense of humor. Kristen is gorgeous, brilliant, and talented in many ways. They compliment each other so well and they are such a joy to be around. I am excited for their wedding that will be on May 8th. Congratulations guys!

Here are some of my favorites from the shoot. Let me know what you think! Also, there is a SLIDESHOW with even more images. Click HERE to watch it!

1 1/2 weeks

Baby Alisi is only 1 1/2 weeks old. Isn’t she precious? I would have to say that she was one of the best newborns I’ve photographed. She only cried a few times, and after her mom gave her a little milk she settled right back down. I always love photographing tiny, sweet newborns! She was being such a good girl that I got carried away and took more pictures than expected. What can I say, when I see something cute, precious, and beautiful, I can’t help myself — I shoot like crazy ;)

Here are some of my favorites from today. There’s also a slideshow at the bottom. Just click the PLAY button.

A Scrumptious New Flavor

Black Cherry. That’s the color of my brand new car. Doesn’t that sound delicious?

This last week, I had MAJOR car troubles. After taking it to the shop, the repairman called to tell me how bad it was. To fix my car, it would cost me more than it was even worth. For a few days, I didn’t know what to do. Was it the time for me to get a new car or suck it up and pay oodles of money for a piece of junk?

On Saturday, my dad went with me to go car shopping. We went to LHM Toyota. I didn’t want a Toyota, but I agreed to go there first. After test driving 5 models of cars, I was in love with the very first car I drove — the Scion TC. It’s a sporty, racey, beautiful car that feels amazing to drive. Today, I went on a drive up Emigration Canyon and down Parleys. It was a perfect way to spend my Sunday evening. Here are some pics I took.

Elephants, Turtles, and Apes, Oh My!

I couldn’t resist posting a few more pictures of my nephews. We had a fun-filled day at the zoo, with a warm sun, light breeze, and 2 excited boys. Sometimes it was hard to keep up with Will who would run ahead, map in hand, trying to find the elephants. James had to stay in the stroller for most of the time, but he still laughed and looked intrigued when we pointed out the animals to him. After we circled the entire zoo, it was time to take the boys home for naps. As Will was saying goodbye to a gorilla statue, a wasp got a little too friendly and stung his neck and proceeded to sting his finger when he tried to get it off his neck :( A few tears later, Will was back to his usual happy self.

Slides, Swings, and Silliness

I finally got my camera back from the shop last week! With an opportunity to play with my nephews and to see if my camera really was fixed, we went to the park. I have good news to share: it is completely fixed! No more bugs! Yay!

Here are some of the pics at the park. As you can see, James was in somewhat of a mellow mood that day. He was especially stiff going down the slide by himself. Poor guy! I think he had more fun when I took him down the slide on my lap. Will is a maniac at the playground. He runs up the slides, goes down with wreckless abandon, climbs up anything he can hold onto, and tries to swing as high as possible.

Now, I want to thank you all again for checking out my blog during these last few ’slow’ months when I was without my camera. I promise I will update more regularly, and it won’t always be pictures of my nephews ;)

Spring Cleaning

Today I have been clearing off my hard drive, trying to organize and assess all the random things on my computer. I ran into these pictures that I took this last October on a Sunday drive with my dad. For most of these shots, I was hanging out the window as he was driving on the dirt road. It was quite the experience!

That day was incredible. The leaves were at their peak, shimmering gold and swaying in the breeze: a striking sight next to the rich blue sky. Even though these pictures are a few months old, I thought I’d share them with you to help us all remember how awesome the seasons are, and how beautiful Utah is!

It’s All James

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted! Thanks to everyone for all your patience. The reason is that my camera has been in the shop getting fixed. And, sadly enough, I had to ship it back again yesterday because it is still not fixed. Luckily, I was able to have it for the weekend and for my nephew’s birthday on Tuesday!

I just love this boy to death! He is simply adorable and can melt anybody’s heart. He’s really in to using the telephone and even says, ‘i’ (he can’t say a lot of words yet, but he’s really good at vowel sounds). And, every time I start taking his picture, he gets super excited, crawls towards me at super speeds, giggling and laughing to look at the back of my camera. At his birthday party, his parents gave him a cupcake, and he had so much fun making a mess. Good thing I captured it all!

Anyways, as you can tell, I had a hard time choosing only a few favorites. I hope you like these as much as I do :)
